How to Download Instagram Reels in HD on iPhone, Android and PC

Instagram offers more than one kind of “save” action, and that is where much of the confusion begins. The bookmark icon keeps a Reel inside your Instagram account for later viewing. The option will not appear for every Reel. Account privacy, the creator’s download setting, media availability and regional or product differences can affect what you see. Instagram’s bookmark action is still useful, but remember that a bookmark remains inside Instagram rather than becoming a normal file on your device.

Use Safari or another modern browser. Copy the Reel link from Instagram, open ReelVideoSaver, paste the link and complete the final download. Safari commonly shows downloaded items through its Downloads control, and the file is usually available in the Files app under Downloads.
When the MP4 is compatible with the Photos app, open it in Files, tap Share and choose Save Video. Your browser settings, iCloud Drive configuration and iOS version can change the exact location, so check Safari’s download manager first when the file does not immediately appear in Photos.

How to download Instagram Reels on Android
In the Instagram app, open the Reel, tap Share and copy the link. Open Chrome, visit ReelVideoSaver, paste the URL and select the prepared download. Chrome usually places the file in the device’s Downloads folder and also lists it inside the browser’s Downloads screen.
Some Android phones use a Files, My Files or File Manager application. Search the Downloads category when the file is not visible in your gallery. A completed video may also appear in a Videos category after the device finishes scanning it.
How to download Instagram Reels on Windows or Mac
Open Instagram in a desktop browser and copy the Reel’s full address. Paste it into the ReelVideoSaver Reels tool, review the preview and select Download. Unless you changed the browser’s save settings, the MP4 generally goes to the Downloads folder.
On desktop, use the original Reel page URL rather than a copied profile address, search-results URL or shortened text that does not open the Reel directly.
What “HD” actually means
